FEEDBACKS - PART 4

June 25, 2006

"Thank you. I sit here tonight with tears running down my face. After spending this afternoon sitting with my grandpa who just had hip replacement surgery and was trying to bargain with me to take him home now, this hits extremely hard. Your presentation was beautiful!"

"There is not much more that can be said about this extraordinary piece. Having cared for my father for 13 years many of the photos reminded me of him and the joy that we shared. I would not change another day that I spent with him. I am very sorry for the person who has not experienced the love and joy of his/her parents. It is truly a magical thing. Thank you so much for sharing this with the world. Lynne S., Seattle, WA."

"Really beautiful. Wish I could share this with my parents who have passed on. Sent it to my children and hope they read and remember."

"I have never heard anything more beautiful Thank You."

"This could not have come at a better time. We just placed my dear father in-law in a nursing home recently and we are experiencing every single thing that was written in this great message. The forgetfulness, weak legs, the same stories over and over again, and the anger we know this is just part of the aging process. We love our father/in-law and it is so sad to see this happening. Beth Gerst"

"This is a beautiful site and very heart wrenching. I am a Nurse and have worked in Nursing Homes and have seen many sad things that children do to their Elderly Parents. My hope is that anyone seeing this Slide Show will be touched and think about each one in depth. Also to evaluate their own relationship with ageing parents! Joanne Hess."

"Done quite well with touching pictures and music but a thinly disguised attempt to 'guilt' offsprings into taking care of their parents in their 'old age'. The basic message being: Look at all the things I have done for you and now you owe me. I found this manipulative."

"This slide show was a real reminder for me to always do what I need to do for the right reasons, no matter how I may be treated. In church this morning there was a soloist who sang 'You Raise Me Up' and the message was on 'Interruptions' and how they are really God's appointments for our lives.  I praise God that He can raise me up to care for my Mother-in-law even when it's not convenient or pleasant. Thank you for being a part of that lesson for me. ~ Barbara - Cape May Court House, NJ"

"Please get this on a DVD. I wish we could help. These are the most poignant words that I have ever read; don't let them disappear. E Taylor - North Carolina"

"This is probably one of the most touching pieces I have ever seen. My mom has Alzheimer's disease and I have her in an assisted living near me. This really makes you think about all she's done for all her children. Thank you so much. Donna Belcher, Sanford, FL"

"Yes, it is certainly a beautiful and touching video, and should inspire all of us to love, appreciate, and care for our precious elderly loved ones. However, and maybe I'm alone on this one, I thought there was a hint of a 'right to die' message here, which I oppose. Anybody else feel this way?"

"What a beautiful and touching presentation. I am a Senior, moved by this message and the Josh Groban Music. It all brings me to tears and warmth in my heart, hoping that my children will 'remember'."

"This presentation-slide show is the reality in mostly western world. Children are often neglecting here for their selfish pleasure. This message must travel all across the globe to make every child for making them realizing the naked truth: 'What goes around comes around.' Splendid job for waking us up many of us."

"Crying out loud. This touched my heart so deeply.  I went through all the phases of your video with my aunt, she was a 'mother' to me. She struggled holding on to life this past year and at last I had the honor to hold her hand as she took her last breath on June 2, 2006 at the age of 86. God bless. Kathy, Mantoloking, NJ"

"A friend from back home e-mailed me this wonderful slideshow and the lyrics by Josh Groban. I have enjoyed listening to it over and over again. It reminds me of my dad who died of brain cancer 15yrs ago and also my grandfathers and great uncles. I love the elderly."

"From Vancouver Canada: Scary! Most of those words just came out of my mother and father's mouth. They are at that time when they are getting strong minded about what they want to do. It's different from what I want. I want them here forever and in any condition, but it is about what they want. Our job as children now, is to respect their wishes and unselfishly support them. Why fight during their last few years. When they repeat themselves, it's faster to just say yes, when they're wrong, just say they right as you will have the rest of your life to do the 'right' your way. All parents want a sense of 'completion' about their role. Letting them be happy and complete, should make you more happy!! Enjoy."

"Our teacher recommended us to view the Parents' Wish presentation. So we all did. At first I was really curious about the show. Our teacher told us that the presentation caught her heart to the fullest so when I heard that, I had an idea that I might cry coz it's all about parents. For all those who had read this: treasure your parents... love them... care for them. You have only one mother, one father. Learn to respect and love them. just like what they did when you were just a kid."

"I too was moved to tears.  I try not to think of the day I may loose my mother. She has been there every step of the way as I have raised my children. My stepfather has been the only 'Tata' my kids have known.  My in-laws are now 82 and building a smaller home! We have been uncertain about their decision to do so. After watching this video I have a new appreciation for my in laws, and I will support them in what they are doing! I realize this is not only the way things used to be, but our Christian duty! Forgive the mistakes and the 'grumpy old man' just love them for what they are and what they have contributed in the past. What an inspiration!!! Cindi, INDPLS IN"

"What a beautiful tribute to our precious older generation. This has hit the feelings of the elderly squarely on the mark. We all need to be reminded that our parents and older family members are a treasure and though our minds and bodies fail, the love for our children and grandchildren will never change."

"Absolutely beautiful. What I would say if I knew how."

"This was sent to me now as my mother is dying. So much is so relevant on how she is passing on. I cried and cried. It says so much of how true everything is."

"This was the most touching thing I have read in a very long time. I cried and cried some more. I am in the process of moving and taking my mom and dad with me which I am sure will not be an easy chore for my husband or myself. My parents are in their late 80's and my husband and I are not too far behind them it seems.  Thank you for such an inspiring message and just at the right time."

"I expect to pass through life but once, if, therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do for any fellow being, let me do it now.. Bonnie and Dennis"

"It seemed as though the song and poem was written just for me. I know it wasn't, but I too am not up to all the technical things. I'm just learning to type. I didn't want a computer, but now I spend too much time on it. My granddaughter sent me the Parents' Wish because as she said, "Grammy you were a parent to me". It warmed my heart.  I have sent this to all the folks my age and some young people too. Hopefully they will listen. We all get older. And lonelier."

"Thank you for all the work you did to allow all of us to see Parents' Wish. It made me cry; it made me smile; most importantly, it made me realize I need to spend more time with my mother who has dementia and be much more patient with her"

"The timing of receiving this e-mail was so profound, I cannot begin to put my heartfelt feelings into words. I wept and wept so deeply. It will certainly help me put my caring for my aging parents in the right perspective. This e-mail could have been sent by God Himself. It pierced my soul."

"My mother is 92 years old. I thought of her throughout the entire movie. I thought of my son reading it and how it might touch him. It is beautiful and thought provoking."

"Loved your message - truly touching. Could I humbly offer another poignant line for when or if you make version 2.. 'Remember dear children that old age is a journey for us all, and we have just got here first.' Best regards, Peter"

"I just lost my Mother on May 29, 2006. This is such a lovely tribute. Momma I miss you but I know it was your time to go HOME! I'll meet you there one day. I LOVE YOU So Much! Terri Ann"

"This is so- Beautiful and true. Thank You and God Bless You! Lana"

"I have never been touched as that show did. I am 68 and totally disabled and in a wheel chair, and have children that live close to me and they hardly ever come over to see me nor, do they ever try to help me in any way. I am not sure who did the first power point on this, but my hat goes out to them. They surely must know what is going on in our lives as seniors. God bless them. Jerry burns, California"

"There is so much truth in what you say. I appreciate your message. As we age we appreciate the attention of our young ones. Thank you. Mildred Turner"

"I have no parents and I'm sick with cancer, all I did was cry. So beautiful. I lost my Father-In-In law almost a year ago and all he keep saying is that he wanted to die. My sister and brother took care of our mom when she was sick with cancer and I would do it all over again. It was the most rewarding thing a child can do for a parent. We know our mother was so deeply appreciative that we did that for her and so are we. Please if you have elderly parents out there take good care of them and love them like it is their last day on Earth. Thank You For the Most Beautiful E-Mail I ever have gotten."

"My mother passed away on 24-3-06 and we had that song played at her funeral. It was very moving and the tears flowed profusely for a strong woman who ended her life so frail as the result of bone cancer. Thank you"

"Grab the box of kleenex!! That was so beautiful. Having my 82 year old father in law living with us, as his caretakers, this hit home big time and serves as a wonderful reminder to us all. I will replay it, and I'm sure cry, often. Thank you for such a touching piece! Anisia Robinson - CA, Anisia"

"I am actually typing this with tears in my eyes. My husband's mother is 95 and lives with us. She is in the hospital now and has lost the will to live. She is so weak. It was her support and encouragement that gave my husband the drive to become a Major League ball player. This song is so perfect. I am going to get the CD and it will play at her funeral when she passes away. Thank you for this."

"This has to be the most touching thing I have seen on the web. I'm not one for sending things on to others but this had to go out to my children and every parent I know."

"I am overwhelmed and so happy that you were able to get this back online. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!! Bev"

"Oh my God, I can't believe how extremely touching and emotional that was! I read every feedback and couldn't stop crying with each one. Nobody with a heart can get through that video without tears - it's impossible! I lost my mother-in-law and father-in-law (they were the very best!) but I still have both parents and I thank God every day for that! I love you Mom and Dad (and Wynn & Bill). Reene"

"I really felt like it was a huge guilt trip. My dad sent it to me and I'm sure he didn't mean it that way, but we already know how to care for people. We don't need to be told now how to be respectful. That's what they taught us long ago. I know that many elderly are discarded by their families, but that has never been the case in our family so why make us feel like we are not going to rise to the occasion and treat our aging parents with the same respect we saw them treat their parents and grandparents with? We aren't perfect, but we are 'good' children. Lay off the guilt!"

"I can't thank you enough for this wonderful, tearful, yet inspiring show and poem. My mother has Alzheimer's and my brother can not seem to understand that she is still our MOM even if she doesn't recognize them as in the poem her smile and her love is still there for all of us to see. I hope they will watch this and remember all that Mom has done for them and all that they should be doing for Mom."

"This is one of the most beautiful sites I've ever visited. Such true words must be spoken to our kids time and time again. Our kids grow up forgetting all we did for them with pride and how proud they made us with all their accomplishments. When we grow old and weary...they walk off to start their own lives and forget those who helped them get there."

"My mother broke her pelvis in 2 places Mother’s Day 2004. The next year in a home, she never really recovered. She died the week before Mother’s Day 2005 at age 99. She was ready to go long before this. My wife commented to me, 'It is amazing that your mother could do such a wonderful job of raising you 3 boys, but it takes the 3 of you to take care of her and you can’t do it'."

"I am a mother of four, grandmother of nine, great grandmother of two. I stood with my daughter who has two married daughters and listened and read the Parents' Wish and both of us were crying. It is so touching all parents should view it and listen to the words of the song 'You Raise Me Up' by Josh Groban. It is simply beautiful and inspiring to say the least. Thank you for producing it and please find someone to help put it back online. Nell Berry"

"I would have loved a download option to this to save on my computer, or to send to family members that have computers but do not access the Internet, and in my family there are several. We lost our Mom this February, and I can truly relate to this. You have done a beautiful job of this!"

"It is a terrible shame that the web host is worrying about... you guessed it....MONEY! Maybe they need to look beyond this and truly understand the point this video is trying to make. Not only is it speaking about parents, but our relationships in general we have in our day to day lives. This piece touched me so deeply that I can't express it in words. thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to put such thought, humbleness and graceness into this for no reason or benefit to you other than to reach out and do what we were intended to do. love, respect and appreciate one another."

"My mother has Alzheimer's and this video touched me so deeply, words can not express. I have Josh Groban's CD and the song is so fitting for this life experience I would not wish any child to witness on one of their parents. It makes you realize what is truly important and we need more of that is today's world. Too much violence and war!!"

"You all have done a wonderful thing with this slide show and I know it is touching so many hearts and families. God Bless you for all your time and effort to put this out on behalf of all of us mothers and grandmothers!!!"

"This came to my e-mail at the most perfect time. My daughter in law's 98 year old grandmother is dying of old age. I showed this to my daughter in law and we cried like babies. This will be read at her funeral for all to hear. It is so important people understand! Sharon in Florida"

"This slideshow deeply touched my heart, bringing forth flooding tears from my eyes, and addressed the last few years of my life. Not only has this video addressed my grandparents and my parents, it expresses exactly what I've been feeling and wanting to say to my children. Maybe after they view it, they will have more understanding and compassion for myself and my father. Thank you for sharing it! Serena Wilkinson"

"This viewing brought tears to my eyes. I must show it to all of our youth at our family reunion. Thank you so much"

"Thank you, Thank you over and over. This is so beautiful and so needed by the millions of us caring for our aged parents! Thanks to each person who has helped!"

"This was absolutely awesome, very heartwarming and so very true. I loved every minute of it. Franki"

"Wow! This must have some power! After my viewing of  Parents' Wish and giving you my feedback (June12)! There was a knock on my door! My brother and sister-in-law came to see us after three years of a misunderstanding. Also my children who have no been in contact all responded! Wishing my husband 'A Happy Fathers Day! This was nothing but a miracle! We did not hear from them for any other holidays-- Christmas Easter or anytime else. Thank you for this miracle. Peggy Lee And Robert Lee"

"As soon as my father told me to watch it I loved it. I realized everything my parents do for me. I really loved it!"

"This is wonderful! My mother died in 1996,in a nursing home, where I feel she had just given up on life. The hardest decision I ever had to make, was to say 'comfort measures only' and let her die peacefully. Thank you for presenting this meaningful video."

June 23, 2006

"Just want to say thank you for this wonderful Web-side."

"I lost my Mother and am caring for my dad with my brother. This really hit home and made me more thankful for my parents and what they have done for us. Best thing I've seen on the web in a long time."

"Thank you for the most beautiful poem I have ever read. My daughter sent it to me and I sent it on to my other daughter and son. Please try and put it back on whenever you can. S. Vario"

"This is one of the best slideshows I have seen. It was so very touching! Thank you so much."

"My name is Melissa and I am a Nurse at a local nursing home. This video touched me so deep. I consider my residents my additional family, and to read the words and hear the music playing it just absolutely touched me. I wished my co-workers could see this and remember to treat my residents with great respect and dignity. Thank you again for such an inspiring video. Melissa Brooks LPN/Assistant Director of Nursing, Wewoka, Oklahoma."

"This brought such tears to my eyes. I do remember the frustration I had when my mother took ill, as my children will when my time comes. I am forwarding this to both my sons and I hope that it will make it easier for them. Thank you for the most beautiful site I have ever seen on the computer."

"This is one of the most SPECIAL slideshows that I've ever seen, I do hope you can show this again in the near future, all my friends that I sent this to, agreed. Thank you so much for something so BEAUTIFUL. Marcella"

"I work in a nursing home and during a training program I attend at my corporate office, we were shown this slide show. The whole room melted to tears as we thought of our residents. Thank you for reminding us that it is for these reasons that we work in long term health care, and that we can only pray that when it is our time to receive care, that there will be those whose hearts are filled will care and compassion and will offer us respect and dignity."

"You have touched my heart with the Parents' Wish . I wish all of our children could watch the side show then all of our children would understand us when we reach the so called Golden Years. The ending of the side show was so overwhelming I Cried as many others have done. Caroline K "

"This movie has been truly touched by the hand of God!!!! The Lord will bless you in your search for a sponsor, for HE is leading you!!! You are so very inspirationally spirited by the Lord. Thank you, and Bless you, Lori Stoneback"

"My parents are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary this weekend and this couldn't have come at a better time. It made me realize how much they need me and my brother and how much more time I need to give to them. Thank you for giving the entire world this gift. Janet, KY"

"My only daughter informed me over a year ago that she and her husband will not be able to care for me or her father in the event of a long term illness and that I should purchase long term care insurance for myself and her father. I do not want to cause any riff in my daughters life I decided to send this Parents Wish to her any way. My wish is that I continue to be able to care for myself until the end. I truly enjoyed seeing this slide presentations and I did get a chance to share it with my daughter and one of my adult granddaughters."

"That truly was beautiful. It probably won’t be maybe 20 years tops before my folks need taken care of, and 20 years after that, I certainly hope my stepsons don’t forget about their dad and me. Thank you for taking time to build this reminder of what really is important in life. –Shannon Whitehead"

"God Bless you for making this available. At this time my two aging parents have moved to be near me. My father has recently been diagnosed with cancer and is on chemotherapy. This is a beautiful lesson for me to read and see. How true it is....life is a cycle of love. Thank you Thank you."

"This touched my grieving heart with comfort and love. February 2006, my Dad died after 3 long years in bed. I watched him go from a strong, demanding, independent dad to a bed bound, skeleton of a man. The man I saw dying was not my dad. I set him free from my heart long ago. Yet dad suffered without words to explain why. I know he is at peace. This video comforted me. RW"

"Very touching and true slide show. A lot of Kids seem to forget who raised them and tend to see their elderly parents as a burden."

"Just beautiful.........and sad"

"Thank you so much for such a beautiful piece. I work in a Veterans Hospital/Nursing Home in Illinois and when I got this email I shared it with as many residents as I could gather without creating chaos. Also, my Mother is in a Nursing Home and I forwarded it to her Home and ask activity's to share it with their members. Kail in Illinois"

"That was simply beautiful it's touched my heart, absolutely super. Keisha from England"

"This video is truly awesome! I'm so glad to see someone using the internet for valuable material. There is so much garbage out on the web but thank goodness for inspiration like this! Thanks for allowing us to view it! I think it's worth the work for this message to get out! Wendi K. Williams"

"I thoroughly enjoyed this piece and passed it on to friends who are parents and some who are in their golden years."

"I just wanted to say 'Thank you' for this beautiful Parent's Wish. I have never seen so many tears flow while listening to an email. What an inspiration!"

"This web page is beautiful. It made me cry in remembering how it was when my parents grew old and passed away. And it also sends a message to my children as to when I grow older. A beautiful message and thank you for it."

"The comments about the lack of women in the movie seemed so unnecessary. I am a woman and it did even occur to me that there were more men than women in the video. We need to get beyond this thinking and enjoy it for what it is meant to be. GOD BLESS"

"I am going to visit my Mom at the nursing home tonight and have asked my sister and brothers to join me there to view this beautiful, moving and informative show, but apparently you have reached the ceiling and no more viewers can enjoy and learn from this. Neshat"

"I'm absolutely speechless. I receive dozens of emails every day. This is without question the best I have ever seen. Please do not cease to make it available. It needs to be spread about this world. Sincerely, Christine D. Rosinski"

"I really enjoyed the slide show and it touched me and my family so very much. My mother has Alzheimer’s and is unable to do a lot of things for herself. She has always been independent and a very bright lady. This has been hard on the whole family and has been hard on mother to accept also. I sent to all my family and know it will mean a lot to them also."

"My Mom died in 2001 of a terrible battle with cancer, knowing only 3 months before our Savior decided to take her. My husband and I spent those months caregiving her and doing our best to show how much we loved and appreciated everything about her. Sadly, I lost my Dad of bone cancer last year. Again, we caregave him and every day had to watch him suffer. After reading this BEAUTIFUL, TOUCHING presentation, and crying my heart out, I realize how blessed and thankful I am for putting my life on 'hold' to care and comfort them both when they needed me the most. A 'keeper' for sure."

"I want to say I love your video. It made me cry and think of my father who died in 0904, and makes me appreciate the time we had together."

"Thank you very much for that inspiring and moving slideshow presentation of the dreams of the dear old parents. I am an ordained minister of the Iglesia Filipina here in the Philippines particularly here in the Diocese of Iloilo. How I wish I experienced longer time with my parents. How I wish children nowadays will realize the difficulties and the love parents are experiencing just to give a better and brighter tomorrow for their children. I pray to Almighty God - the Most Loving and Merciful Parent to bless our parents. Padre Boy Salazar"

"A beautiful video. I related it to my grandparents as my parents gave us up when I was a toddler. I would like to have passed it on to my two children, however, like many people these days, I am a single parent, so the signature 'Mom and Dad' really isn't appropriate for someone like me, but for the number that it is applicable to, I am sure that it will be passed on to those more fortunate."

"Very encouraging and an inspiration not only to children but to parents. Please share this with all of the aging population that live in the United States and the world. Please get the word out as best as possible. Every body needs to see it and they do not have access to the web so please fine a way to get this message of hope life and love out to the people."

"This slide is the most beautiful slide I have seen on the computer. This really shows what older people go through. They no longer have their independence, their dignity, they feel frustrated because they can not do what they used too. We all need to reach out to the elderly, and do what we can to make them feel better about themselves. Not take over just be there for them. Listen to what they say, make them feel good about themselves rather then tear them down.. We only have them one time around. Cherish them even when it is hard."

"I just managed to be able to watch the movie clip yesterday before it is taken out today . It is very emotional and touching especially four days ago. I have had my 59th birthday. I have 3 grown up children and I have E-mail about it yesterday."

"I am so thankful when I saw and heard the video because now that my mom is 72 and very weak due to cancer and I'm the only one who took care of her my patience and understanding took longer than I expected because I realized how great they are when I was a child. Thank you very much for that wonderful video. Merle Montano"

"This is one of the sweetest emails I have seen. Thank you so much for sending it. I love Josh Grogan's singing, and the words to the email were heart-wrenching, but so true for we who are in the older generation. God bless you and God bless all our older mothers and fathers who don't have the love they need, or who are mis-understood., or neglected."

"I have never read something so beautiful. It was like from heaven. My husband is handicapped and we had some problems with our children, they read that and life has changed . They all cried a lot and it has affected everyone. I have listened to it a lot and cry everytime because it is so true, all the words and the song by Josh was perfect. Thank you for doing this, it has changed so many lives and you should be so blessed by all the responses. Sally Corley"

June 22, 2006

"This was truly so well put together and very touching to one's heart. I found it so true to fact of life, that we must never forget and always respect the love of our parents. We too will grow old one day and what a beautiful reminder this is. Thanks so much for an inspiring touch of love to be passed around."

"I was angry and frustrated with my mother and we had not spoken for 2 weeks. I broke down when I saw this. I am no longer angry and I now have a better understanding. I just logged onto it again and to my disappointment it could not be accessed due to the 100,000 lucky people that did see this. I was hoping to send this to my 2 sons."

"This brought tears to my eyes and so wished that just for a day, and hour, or even a moment I could be with and say how much I have loved my father who was suddenly called home at age 56."

"I find it a huge disappointment that you finally can enjoy viewing a slideshow such as this on the computer and now people are not allowed to see it (because of bandwidth restriction). You are able to see negative issues and so many terrible things on the computer, so why take a positive thing that not only could but can change the way people think? Parents need their children to see the positive in them and in the elderly. I sent this on bragging about the beauty of this and now these people can't see such a beautiful thing. HOW SAD!!!!

"Thank you for creating such a lovely story . It is hard to be patient with the elderly. That is human. I took care of my dad and later my mom. We have always lived in the same town all my life. I felt close to my parents. We loved each other dearly. When my mom died ten years ago, I felt like I lost part of me. They were wonderful! Yes, your story made me cry. When I showed it to my children and grandchildren: they cried. I explained that this is the way we are getting and we hope they can now understand us."

"I am the caregiver for my mother, who has Alzheimer's. She is very precious and dear to me and I always worry that I am not patient enough, kind enough, thoughtful enough, or treat her with the respect and dignity she deserves. This wonderful slide show helped me to see that I don't need to nag her to eat. I don't have to be concerned because she doesn't bathe frequently. I just need to be here for her and do the best I can to make life as comfortable and as easy as possible... for both of us."

"I just wanted to tell you that this is one of the most beautiful illustrations that I have seen in a long time. It made me cry and smile. My dad is seriously ill right now and so this really hit home. Thank you for having circulated it and sorry about the problems encountered with so many people looking at it. I hope you will be able to get it up and running again."

"This is so beautiful. I wish my Mom and Dad were still here to see this. I know they would loved it. I wish there was some way to get it on TV so EVERYONE could see it. Pam S in Moskogee, Oklahoma"

"Having just lost my mom from a very lengthy illness, this site struck me right to the soul. I never imagined in a million years that I would be taking care of her like she were an infant. Even though at times she could test the soul of a saint, I never thought to ignore her or cause her any harm. I thought that this slideshow was done most beautifully and I will keep it always to remind my children that they may be put in this position one day. Thank you so very much. Linda"

"This presentation was wonderful! My dad died when I was 19 and my mom was my whole life and everything to my four children. She is now suffering from dementia and I truly miss her. I pray for her to go home to heaven and join my dad so that she can be 'herself' again. I'm all grown up now as are my children and she will always live in our hearts. AMS from NJ."

"I thought that the slide show was very touching by just knowing that I have 3 kids of my own and I hope that when the day comes that my kids need to take care of me they do so and realize all the love that I showed them in the past and pass it on to their kids."

"What a wonderful way to convey to your children your wishes for them and yourself in your last years. Beautifully done and it makes this delicate subject so beautiful and meaningful to both parties. God bless you for this wonderful gift and I pray that it will be available soon for others to see and use. With love and appreciation. Jim Maxwell"

"Wish I still had my Mom to show her this. Some years she is quite vivid in my memories and I can hardly bear it. Other years I'm ok. My Dad died in 1970 still young, of a heart attack. My Mom died in 1997 in her sleep. The GOOD LORD took her while she slept so she wouldn't suffer. This e-mail makes me think of her so much. WOW! It is so beautiful! Love always, Carmen Roman"

"This is so beautiful and powerful. I have tears in my eyes and hope that I can remember these things as my parents age. I lost my grandmother a year ago and my grandfather has not been the same. I now understand when he says he just wants to go to sleep to be with grandma again what he means thanks to this video. Thank you so much for putting it in words. I will not be the same after hearing this."

"PI work at a Hospice, in-house, facility. I plan to put a copy of Parents' Wish on our bulletin board, and another in the family reading room. The feelings are so perfectly expressed and meaningful. Sometimes, just reading something like this, a family member will absorb. It is perfect."

"This was very moving for me and brought back memories of my dad who was in a 'home' and for the last year of his life wanting to die first. I kept on saying 'No don't be foolish' but then realized that he was tired and ashamed of being in 'Pampers'. His dignity was gone and he was tired so I said 'Ok dad' and not long after he passed on. Thanks for reminding me of him. God Bless. June from Labrador"

"Touching, inspiring, tearful message that hits directly to your heart. As simple as 'do unto others what others want you to do unto you'. Cha"

"Your movie touched me deeply. I got to know all the situations that your movie shows, all too well. Such a terrible state to be in, especially if loved ones are not understanding. I have to admit, I was not always as understanding as I should have been. I wish I had read this story long, long ago. It's one that all children need to read, as their parents get older. Young people too often realize, usually too late, that as the body and mind begin to wear out, things begin to change. Change occurs that we have no control over. So sad."

"I have to tell you that nothing has moved me as much as your video has done! I am the youngest daughter in a family of 10 and I am the one who looks after my 84 year old mother! I do not get any help from my siblings and because of that, I tend to be cranky with my mother at times, however, your show has put things in perspective for me and needless to say i have forwarded it to all my family!! And it has changed the way I feel about looking after my Mom! We need more things like that in our email inboxes!!! J. Beaudry...Canada"

"This was so beautiful. My father passed away four years ago. My sister, brother, and myself took care of him so this really fits. I cried so hard. This web site should be mandatory for all children to read so that they really appreciate their parents and all that they have done for them. Tonie"

"I received this from a friend because she knew my daughter and I have not spoken in 2 years and I have not even seen our grand-daughter who turned one. Thank You So Very Much. It has helped a lot of people."

"I have put my life on hold to care for people which I love dearly, but I have missed out on a lot of things these past two years and sometimes I feel very angry and frustrated. I just want you to know, that everyday before I leave work, I watch this video and it really helps me put my priorities back in order. It really helps me get thru the bad days without loosing my mind. When I get angry, I remember the video and try to see their side of this situation too."

"This was so touching. I lost my mother when I was just turning five but I hope my children will read this and have the love and patience with their dad and myself when we get to this stage in life. Lavee in Calif."

"My Mother is 87 years old, and has Alzheimer's Disease. I know how easy it is to lose patience, get angry, feel frustrated. I cried when I watched this, saw all the things that I let get to me and realized that I have to re-assess and give her the time she deserves. Thank you so much.Betty L. Edginton"

"I'm 36 years old and have a lot of time for making seniors without family (or it doesn't matter with family) the happiest before its their time to leave the earth. I really, really was so taken with this slideshow, that I pledge my volunteer time to the nursing homes. I will just love every minutes of it and I'm truly grateful that I can give back so excitingly to others. Hats off to the unknown author. Dottie Dillard, Las Vegas"

"Words can not express my feelings after hearing and seeing Parents' Wish. It is the best! I bought Josh Groban's CD and I play the song several times a day. I still shed tears when I hear it every time. Peg"

"I am 73 and feel like it is this is just a wonderful season of life which enables me to continue to serve God and others and to exercise my creative abilities. While I have a few physical problems, I refuse to bow to society's attitude regarding age. I still am a soprano soloist with a 40 year old voice, just one of my many endeavors. I also dress stylishly and do the best to have a mature youthful appearance. My wonderful mother had the same attitude and that is why she is so young at 95. In fact she recently joked that someone must have made a mistake on her birth certificate. I feel the same way. It is not the beginning of the end but the beginning of a wonderful season of life. Jeannine, Dallas, TX"

"The poignant slide depicted a fact of life. Messages were articulately presented in 'pictures and quotes' that touched the hearts of people going in that direction. It is reaching out for understanding and love. With love, everything suffices. Elisa Tibay"

"I am currently taking care of my 95 year old grandmother. She is terminally il.l I loved your Parents' Wish. I also took care of my terminally ill mother. I have gained things like living for the moment, the true appreciation of laughter and I just know if all of my life even if I was considered a loser, I somehow did the right thing. Stephanie Sutton"

"I wish I could see this web site. I am told it is something I need to view at this difficult time in my life."

"Thank you!! I have been unable to view the slide show as it is off line for now, but would like to forward this to my family. I got a quick glimpse of it before so I know, Thank you! Linda."

"This is truly an amazing message to us all- young and old, rich or poor, big and little, all colors, all beliefs, all shapes and sizes. THANK YOU!"

"I read it over and over and each time with tears in my eyes. I am saving this to send to my kids someday when the time is right. Also hope they will send it on to their children. Great movie!"

"I had to learn to care for a mother with Alzheimer's. It is a very difficult learning process. She has passed away and now I try to share what I learned with others. Parents' Wish is the best teacher I have ever seen. It says it all in a very beautiful way"

"I am the mother of a nine year old son and the daughter of older parents. I pray that my son remembers me like that as I will remember my parents. This was the most moving email I have ever received. God bless"

"Wow, since Mother's and Father's Day recently celebrated, this page summed up so much. I have tucked it away in my 'favs' to visit often. Thanks for the special 'insite' concerning that 'hour-glass' we seniors face as the sands of time slip thru in out stay here. Just a father and 'Gramps'."

"I think this is so beautiful. It touches everything you live and do in life for your children. My Mother is now 82 and it moved me so much. I am sending it to my Daughter. I can not express the words how great this is."

"I'm so disappointed that I was unable to view the movie. I just recently lost my father to leukemia - my mother sent me the e-mail with the Parents Wish site. I was able to read the words and, as many others have stated, it brought tears to my eyes."

"This slideshow is the most touching message that I have ever viewed. I only wish that it would touch everyone else in the same way that it did to me. Also, I hope that our younger generation would read this and inspire them as well. Whoever wrote this, did a wonderful job. Thanks Vera Adame "

"This is truly beautiful and so moving. I viewed it a few times. Every time I have tears in my eyes and remembered my Mom who passed away so young (55) and how I missed to care for her. And I thought of my Dad, he's so far from me that I can't be by his side, but he's always in my heart and is thankful of what both have given me as a child. I have also sent this to our kids and my sister hoping that they will enjoy it as much as I did, for the meaning of love and giving. Venus Naval"

"I recently lost my father to heart disease. We had to make the decision to suspend life support. I have been haunted by that decision, wondering if we did everything possible, and would he still be here today. After reading Parents Wish i just sobbed. Yes, we made the right decision and i now have peace about it. Thank you so much for being my angel of peace. Linda from Pennsylvania"

"Very special and so true ! Thanks for putting together a special story for our children ! God Bless, George Strutzel Utah"

"People just don't realize how close and fast things can happen to your parents. Too many little things seem to get in the way and people just need to put them aside and realize enjoy your parents while they are still around, don't wish you did things more with them after they are gone. This is perfect. I hope all people read this and make time for their parents."

"I was touched to tears at how wonderfully you put into words what many parents cannot say. It would be great to have one for single parents like me :-)! Linda"

"Wow. How awesome can you get. How soon we forget where we came from and what they did and sacrificed for us. You could not have said it more perfect. I am in awe of what I heard."

"I visited my 84 year old mother today, and thanked her for all that she had done for me, and told her that it was because of her positive support and guidance in my life that I am where I am today. And I told her she is a Wonderful Mother. Her face lit up and she smiled so beautifully."

"OMG! 46 years old today and I cried like a child! Absolutely awesome! Not only did it make me think of my dad who passed away a little over a year ago after a long fight with cancers but with a 16 year old daughter growing up way too fast and not wanting to have much to do with me these days. I want her to see this site desperately. Maybe it'll give her a little jolt into realizing mom and dad aren't gonna be here forever!"

"I thought that this was one of the most beautiful slide show and was so true so I sent it to my three children and Grandchildren, and Great. We are Seniors well in our seventies and have read a lot of things, Whoever wrote this should do a lot more of this kind of things."

"It brought tears to my eyes and really touched my heart. My mother is showing signs of Alzheimer's and this movie clip will help me most when her memory starts to decline."

"Geriatrics is my passion and I am now working in the Long Term Care Facility where my Mama was a resident. The majority of my residents/patients have some form of dementia. Having been 'down this road' with my parents I feel I am a better nurse to my patients and their families. I feel I am able to give to them what I was given: someone to look after them or their loved one with compassion, understanding, love along with hugs and kisses daily. I am sure the Parent's Wish reminds us all of these things. LPN in Tennessee"

"I just received the parents wish from a friend. I lost both parents to Parkinsons disease and the medications made them both loose their memory and they could not walk well or feed themselves. This was the most appropriate thing I've ever seen regarding the death or near death of a loved one... they raised you and gave you love...do the same for them and do not complain. This touched me so deeply and I wanted to thank you for it."

"I haven’t seen the presentation but just reading the comments of those who have, makes me anxious to see what is obviously a labor of love."

"The Parent's Wish is wonderful and a tear jerker. I have saved it in my documents."

"This was absolutely amazing-- touching and so poignant as we reach the stage of life where we hope are children are aware that we will not be in our 'active and good health stage' forever. Josh Groban (adding my favorite song) touches the emotional strings of aging and hoping to do it gracefully and with peace. Thanks to all who were a part of this presentation."

"Several friends to whom I sent this beautiful video replied that it came to them at a tough time in their lives -- one or both parents had been needing their care. The story gave them courage and strength to carry on with joy and without faltering. Most made a resolve to forward it to their own children. God bless you for the inspiration and guidance provided by such a beautiful format."

"Incredibly beautiful...and timely."

"I love this site and have sent it to all my friends with computers, but unfortunately, some folks I want to share with do not have one. Is there any way I can get a copy of the words."

"Beautiful idea! It makes a person think. I wonder how many younger people have seen this? I wish the pictures weren't grainy or distorted and that is was a little less wordy... but all-in-all, I think it was very nice, but the concept would be more profound with some clarity and simplicity."

"I just saw it and it was very moving. My dads health isn't what it once was and even though I don't look forward to the day that they both pass away seeing the video now will make it easier to handle when the time comes and since I like Josh Groban's music it was very fitting and with his music in the background it made it much more meaningful and was very moving it brought tears to my eyes."

"I took care of my grandfather for 5 years. He passed about 5 years ago and reading that brought back so many memories. Thank you Mom for sending it to me. Love, Ed"

"It made me cried. This is the reality of life. This website is so wonderful."

"This made me cry and think of my grandmother.  She was a true lady and if I can even be one-third the lady she was I will indeed be blessed. My mom is now the one that needs taken care of and I make frequent trips and calls even though Dad is there. My grandmother and my mom are both ladies of grace and strength and I am truly honored to have had and continue to have the opportunity to love them. Thank you for reminding me of how lucky I am and how all those little everyday petty problems are insignificant compared to our seniors and all they gave and give to us.

"My parents are in their 70's and this really hits home. They know what is going on, but some day my not and this really makes me think about what is going to happen to them and will we be there to help them through the aging process. My parents are my life and as I watch this the tears seem to over come me, because it is all too real. Thank you for sharing the information."

"How time turns the tables. It is hard to even say goodbye when our children leave home, we want them to be safe, without us were not sure...trust in God and show us the ways. With this maybe the children can see they are here for a reflection of what was given and time is NOT our time but Gods. We need to help our parents too. Even though some times we think they can do it on their own. Love the technology part that would be me, Again thanks so much it put closure on a lot of things for me. My Partner and Friend thanks so much for passing this on to me. Veronica .Benbrook TX"

"Incredible! As I forwarded this heartwarming and heart touching presentation, it is amazing how many of us are dealing with aging! Whether longevity is a blessing often depends on the quality of our friends and family that love us as long as we live! Thank you so much!"

"I balled my eyes out reading this and listening to this. I have a new and better perspective on my elderly dad and I am sure my kids will, too. Thank you for sharing."

"Tears and speechlessness. Thank you for sending this out over the web. It's an important message... we often forget.... Georgie, 33, Australia"

"Thank you ever so much for taking the time to re-create such a beautiful thought of real life."

"How incredible is this. Everyone should read this and send it to those they love, it can provide a whole new perspective, and bridge what may at times seem like a widening gap between parents and children. I have watched as my parents have taken in their parents, aunts and uncles, grandparents and helped them through this hard time of life, and it is challenging to do it with love everyday."

"I just finished watching the movie, Parents Wish, and it is very touching. It especially touched us as my husband has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and it is hard for our family to accept. I am going to tell everyone about this site. Thank you."

"Your Parents Wish is really very very inspiring, beautiful, touching.. could not help but cry while watching it. I remembered my dearest Mom who died last Oct 30, 2005. Yes I remembered her saying all those things and the more I miss her. Thank you so much for this beautiful work of art, truly magnificent!"

"This video touched me so much I've been crying and can't stop. Don't know why, I'm always there for my parents, I love them both very much. They are getting up there in age and I don't want to see them go one day."

"This is so beautiful. Our Daddy is going through this right now and it is so hard for our family to deal with but more so for our Mother because she is with him every day. It doesn't seem fair that a person can be so strong, a pillar in the community, well loved and respected by so many, to be reduced to a little boy once again, in the 'Golden Years' of his life. Thank you for this beautiful piece of work."

"That is the most beautiful thing I have seen or heard. Have sent it to my children. Only 2 have a computer to play."

"I work for a hospice organization. I want to share this with all our staff. It was very touching to me thinking not only of my contacts with the elderly but my own parents who are not yet 'old.' Thank you."

"How beautiful this was! We just ask our children to respect us and honor us (one of the Ten Commandments in the Bible). It's okay to disagree, but children should not be disagreeable."

"Thank you for sharing PARENT'S WISH. I have yet to make it through with dry eyes!!

"I have a 91 year old mother that I care for and it really caused me to think, and maybe cherish her a little more than I have. Thank you for making the video, it was beautiful."

"I lost my mother on 10/08/2004. On that day I lost my best friend.  Reading Parents' Wish made me realize how much I really miss my mom. Thank you so much for putting this together. It brought back so many loving memories of her."

"My sister sent this to me today and I've cried several times since viewing it. What a beautiful tribute to all parents. I have forwarded it to my 4 children plus several other family members, especially our son Gregg who is stationed in Afghanistan. I want them all to know we how much we love them and this seemed to be a beautiful way as the message seems appropriate for all family members. B.W."

"Every time I watch this, I see something that I missed the other times. Every time I cry as I watch it. I AM the caregiver to my aging parents and this helped me to see that I needed to change and allow them to have some dignity. Thank you and may God richly bless you for what you are doing."

"I just watched the movie and I have never been so touch by something in my life. I still have both my parents and do not look forward to the day that they pass. This has help me realize that as a parent we do get tired and still need our children. I have always tired to be their for my parents, after seeing this I will always be their for them. They where and still are a greatest parents. Love you Mom and Dad, Fay Saluda VA"

"My mother is 87 years old and oh my - the words and music certainly touched my heart. How very true the words are. Thank you for the beautiful, beautiful Parents' Wish"

"You've represented family love extremely well. Let us hope that we treat our parents better than we want to be treated, and that it is a natural response. So many times we choose to blame our parents for our 'lot in life' when it is life and choice they've given us so freely. How difficult is it to love? Bravo to you and yours!"

"It's hard to view something like that at work and not cry. Thanks for making it available."

"Thank you so very very much for all the work and sweat and obvious love you have put into this program/slideshow. I love it."

"This was very moving and inspiring. I dread getting older. I always have. My grandmother is now at those dawning years and I don't like. Thank you for the presentation."

"This a great video. I sat and cried like a child, this touched me greatly, because we are having such a hard time with my step-son. I feel like and pray hard that when I get a chance for him to see this, maybe he will see what a blessing he has having 2 sets of parents, that love him with all of our hearts. I hope to see more of this in the future. Thanks for sharing, Dianne Napier "

"I love the song and the pictures with it. It sent chills up my spine and tears started rolling down my cheeks. My husband and I are grandparents raising a granddaughter. She is almost 20 and starting her 3rd year of college. I forwarded this to her for all the times she tells us we are not supposed to be old yet"

"Flow of tears of emotion pours out from my soul. What a blessing it is to see this most beautiful site and hear Josh's Groban's beautiful voice and song. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Brings it home and to the root of it all, family. Tammy S. Gaede, Greenwood, MS"

"My husband and I have two elderly moms, 91 and 89. Sometimes, with great guilt, we feel discouraged and know we do not pay as much attention as we should. We give them the best of care, but we know in our hearts we can give more of our time. Thank you for this 'shake up of our memories'. It has inspired us to push on and create the time and most of all, be quiet and listen."

"This was just was a child needs when they have aging parents with a terminal illness. I cant thank you enough. Helen"

"Absolutely breathtaking. I am a nursing home administrator and would love to provide this presentation to our caregivers. May you be blessed on your endeavors."

"This was totally out of this world. Brilliant to say the least. Thanks a million. John and Madge Hodge Calgary Canada"

"Thank you for this very well thought out and true account. I sobbed so hard when viewing it only to realize that I am living it every day with my very own mother."

"Every person with a parent 55 and older need to see this!! It is so true. Thank you for the music, the words, and the pictures. I hope every child will heed the message."

"Thank you for reminding me that I need to be patient with my parents. This is so beautiful! Everyone should have the opportunity to see this."

"I read the Parents' Wish twice and it brought a lot of tears. I lost my dad almost four years and still miss him every day. This year on Good Friday (April 14), our family lost my grandmother (93 years old) from a stroke. She was the stepping stone of our family. What a great inspiration for everyone to read and hear. Josh Groban has a wonderful voice and the song. 'You Raise Me Up' puts more emphasis on the words behind Parents' Wish. L. Foster"

"WOW!!! This is so touching and powerful. I just lost my mother and I could see her in every single frame. Good thing when I was young and full of pain and discontent. I always remembered what my mom told me. One day it will come back full circle and the shoe will be on your feet. Little did I know then what I know now. Now the shoe was on the other foot! Now was the time to pay them back and loved every minute of it. Because now they are just memories!"

"Great job, I am a parent and it made me cry.. a lot.."

"I am a nursing home administrator and this video needs to be viewed by each person that works here, every family member, and those in the community that visit. This is so powerful. Our society does not accept the aging process. We try to interfere with the natural effects of aging - unsuccessfully - and when those attempts fail my profession is made to look like we neglect our most precious generation."

"I've been a caregiver for many years for my Mom. She recently passed on. I felt as if I, myself, wrote the words and sang the lyrics to 'it all'! I've passed this on to my five wonderful children. I know they will react to Parents' Wish as I am now and will continue to forever. Thank you for thinking of 'US' all (in the entire world). Peace Be With You from my heart."

"About two months ago my Mother had to undergo a second brain surgery. The first surgery was only 4 months prior. During the second procedure she suffered a mild stoke. I was advised by her therapist yesterday that all that can be done has been done. They say that she will need constant care as she is not able to walk or go the restroom on her own. Her sense of balance was damaged beyond repair. Your slideshow bought me to tears, but inspired me to have the patience that is necessary to help her through this time in her life."

"My parents (divorced) both live out of state. It makes me so sad that I won't be able to care for them when they reach that point. My mother just had a kidney removed, because of cancer.  It would truly be an honor to care for my mother! I want to be there for her. Unless the Lord intervenes, it won't be possible. That breaks my heart! As for my father, he wasn't a good father. Still isn't. However, after watching this movie, it made me realize that my life isn't about me. I pray, that if the time comes, I can have the strength, forgiveness and love needed to care for him too. Again, thank you so much for the Love you shared with all of us! Holly"

"It bought tears to my eyes and I thought about my 3 1/2 years old, and 9 weeks old. Would love for them to see this one day."

"Thank you for one of the better e-mails I have ever received. It brought tears to this 76 year old man, but it was so true. Bob Wilcox, Fort Myers, FL"

"This is soooooooo beautiful and I cried while I was reading it. My cousin sent this to my husband and I today and I emailed it to two of our children. The other doesn't have a computer so I'm unable to send it to him which is disappointing to me. This really speaks of how I feel about getting older and wanted my children to know. Thank you for putting this out. R.G."

"A great reminder of what our parents used to do and sacrificed their precious time for their children! I am touched; so I emailed them to all my friends and nieces around Asia and Australia. Thanks for the thoughts. Lydia"

"Thank You. I needed to see that! God Bless!"

"I'm still crying from seeing that video I will pay any cost to own a copy."

"Your Parent's Wish movie really moved me, it's very touching. I really missed my Mom. How I wished she was still alive and tell her how much I love her. Thank you very much for opening our heart and for teaching us not to take for granted our old folks. God Bless and more power...Remy"

"Thank you for this inspiring message, which touched my heart and reinforced my comment to continue caring for my 93 year old mother, who I have chosen to live with me, with dignity, compassion, patience and grace. Whenever I am in a hurry and have to stand and wait for her to walk ahead of me, or when I have to stand and wait for her to remember a word while telling me something, or when she chips one of my dishes because she still wants to help in the kitchen but her hands don't move a gracefully as they once did, or when I want her to walk with me by the sea but her legs won't carry her that far any more and I'm disappointed, I will remember this song in my head and your words and my mind and I will be filled with gratitude that she is still in my life where I can wrap my arms around her and tell her I love her, and that she continues to give me the grace to grow in patience and love."

"We have four boys and this is going to each of them and their wives. It is beautiful! Jim and Carolyn"

"This presentation is awesome ! Oh, how I cried. Time is so precious and unfortunately most of us get stuck living in the past, or thinking about the future and we forget to live in the present, the here and now. We have control over our attitudes, it is a choice. My one regret is that I didn't enjoy them as much as I would've liked to. Your time here is limited and you never know when it'll be up. Everything else in life pales by comparison next to the love of family and dear friends. I urge you to get your priorities straight. No one is going to remember how high you climbed the corporate ladder. It won't make it on your tombstone. Spend time with the ones you love and care about. Remember you reap what you sow !!! Zuny"

"A friend just sent me the presentation and I must congratulate you all for a beautiful job. It literally brought tears to my eyes for it is so real to life. And I am not even a parent"

"I have been caretaker for my in-laws and my parents and this is so true and touching. Thank you for your perseverance in sharing."

June 20, 2006

"This was so beautiful. It really touched my heart. My mother passed away a year ago. She used to think she was a burden, dying of cancer. I remember always telling her, 'I love you and I'm here for you, just like you were for me. You loved us and took good care of us, now it's our turn to return the love.' I still have my father and he is our jewel. My siblings and I will be here for him, always!"

"This was sent to me by my sister who knew her days were very limited. I sent her a reply to the site on how beautiful it is, and I am certain she never received it before she passed on. Thank you for having it here for others to see and enjoy. It is truly beautiful. Thanks for sharing."

"I received Parent's wish today and was so moved. I have played it at least 20 times and have cried every time. It is the most beautiful thing I have listened to in such a long time. Have sent it to my two children and many other family members. Thank you for making my day! Sincerely, Catherine Plowman"

"This is a very touching slide show. I am fortunate to have both my parents alive and well in their mid-70’s. This was good food for thought for me. It gives dignity to the aging process and to death. Am I the first to mention the obvious omission of women in the photos? Most especially since the final page was signed 'Mom & Dad'. Donna O. Burlington, Ontario Canada"

"I was sent this buy my mother-in-law. She knows how I feel and act towards my Mother. The only thing I can say is Thank you for writing this and allowing me to see it."

"I sit here with tears running down my face after having seen this. Having just lost my granny, who lived to be 100, I really felt the meaning behind this piece. I have already lost one parent but my Mother is still with me and this helped me to understand what she just went through with her mother and what someday I may have to go through with mine. I am sending this to my own children in hopes that they listen and understand. Thank you so very much. Jude Blaylock, Sedalia, MO"

"This was sent to me at work but after the first screen I knew I could not watch it there so it was forwarded home. I just lost my mother in April and cried from the beginning to the end of the movie. This is truly beautiful. I have one negative thing to say about it. I wish there was one that is only from the mother or father. I have been divorced for a very long time and would love to pass this on to my children when my time gets close. Can you make this for a single parent to send to their child or children. That would mean a lot to all the single parents out there. Arnita Jefferson"

"The words and music are so powerful! Very thought provoking, both for the parent and the child. Will share with our grown children, and perhaps as they get older, they will share with their children. Thank you!"

"You decided to have children, your children did not ask you to bring them into this world, that was your decision. To expect your children to parent you in your old age is pretty arrogant. Childless by Choice"

"Absolutely beautiful. Makes me think and have more patience with my grandma when she forgets things or tells me the same thing several times. We should all be thankful for our parents no matter our age or theirs. They always have a lesson to teach us. Thank you for this."

"This is the most beautiful thing I have ever received. The music and the words on the pictures were deeply touching. I will save this on my computer always."

"I was brought to tears with this inspiring video. I am a hospice nurse and so often including myself we forget what truly is the wish of the older patient. I literally am shaking writing to you because it has struck a chord in so many areas of my personal life and my professional life. A beautiful tribute. Sincerely, Donna Kaminski RN"

"This is absolutely beautiful thank you so much for sharing--the music is so appropriate!! Brings tears to my eyes"

"Thank you for a beautiful site. My 87 year old Mom moved in with my husband and I last Nov. and it has been wonderful. What a sweet lady she is. I am enjoying her so very much. My Dad came to live with us as well the last few months of his life. He passed away 15 years ago. Those who do not have this privilege, are truly missing out on so much. I loved the music and the message. Anne in Nova Scotia, Canada."

"It's been a long time since I have had anything touch my heart in such a profound way! Every person lives a cycle of life. I only hope that at the end of my life I will be surrounded by people who love and care for me. Thank you for all the pleasure I got from listening to 'Parent's Wish'. Ellen Marie"

"It hit home and I'm lucky enough to still have both my Mom 73 and my Dad 78 in my life. My Mom is in poor health and my Dad is doing everything, including working full-time still, at 78, to have more insurance for her medical and drug expenses. He takes care of my Mom at home, too. This really opened my eyes and even though I get aggravated with my Mom, it showed me to turn it all the way around and only remember the sweet and caring things she did for me. Forget about what you find annoying and just enjoy every second you can with your parents! Help them as they helped you. Life is very short. I will be visiting much more. I will be paying much more attention. I will be helping much more. JillyB :)"

"I have never been so moved. Powerful hardly describes it. I have shared this, like so many others have, with my children. The day will come when they have to deal with me and my shortcomings. Hopefully, this piece will make it a bit easier for them. dlk"

"What a message. A friend sent this to me and I love it. Wonderful Job you did. Praise God for web sites that help instead of fill your minds with filth."

"This is such a powerful message that it needs to be proclaimed from the highest offices of our Government. All children need to view this regularly as a reminder to love and care for their parents. Our society desires to put our parents away and no be bothered by them. Christ Jesus puts it in perspective when he says 'Honor your Father and Mother' in his word, no less than 8 locations Christ commands up to honor our Father and Mother."

"My father will be 97 tomorrow. He has just been diagnosed with malignant Mesothelioma. I take care of him, as we live together. While this was beautiful, it also depressed the heck out of me."

"The memories that flooded my mind were of my grandmother who passed away 14 years ago and to whom I was very close. 'Gran' as I called her, spoke the same words of being tired and not wanting to live. Of course, I listened to whatever she needed to say as I always held the utmost respect for her. Now, even though I do not have that same bond with my own mother, 71, I am well too aware of where things are heading in her life. It simply reminds me that no matter what happened in childhood, your parents do the best that they can to raise their children. And even though I am aware of that, sometimes it is tough to forgive. Thanks for helping me to remember what is most important in life!

"At 35 years old and being a child of three I was raised in Indiana on a country farm where we had a lot of money but it was not easy for me to be happy at home. It is only now, that I have understood that even the things my parents have done and did do that I understand there are things I will never really know. My parents are only motivated to love and that looks weird to a child and is hard to grasp in its meaning. But it's there. Love is always there. Time is how I've learned. This is another face of grace."

"Thank you so much for a great job and a wonderful lesson. I am very close with my mother who is now 92 1/2 and Thank G-D still going strong and I feel truly blessed."

"A very touching and excellent, creative piece of work. Bravo! I certainly will buy some copies for distribution. Loads of thanks."

"Bless you for thinking of us as we enter our golden years of life. I sent this to my son who I know will appreciate it very much. You have lifted my spirit and made me realize that I am still strong and worthy and have a lot to look forward to. Our face and our body may grow old, but our soul and spirit are still young. May all children read this and remember that GOD has given you a precious gift - your mom or your dad."

"This is beautiful. I have elderly parents and I am the director of an Alzheimer's respite program. This is beautifully done. Thank you, Jaleyn Dobbs"

"I received this e-mail from a very special friend of mine and I thought it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen."

"This is the most beautiful piece I have ever seen. It caused me to remember my Grandmothers in their last years. How I wish this piece had been available at that time, as I needed to have some support in dealing with their aging. Now as I am close to 70 years of age I know the time is coming when my children and grandchildren will need this as a reference for support. This has been e-mailed to my children and I hope they appreciate it as much as I do."

"As someone who has been a caretaker of both my parents for more than 20 years, this touched me deeply. My Mom is still going at 91. Five years ago I had to let my father go, with the dignity he wanted. It was the most difficult time of my life. This presentation made me laugh and it made me cry, but most of all it put everything into perspective."

"I cried when viewing, this is the second time I have view it and I am still crying. My father accidentally died when I was 6 months old. But our mother did all she could for us. She died at 94 years old, two years ago. My husband had a stroke at 61 and until this moment, I can still hear my mother was always wishing my husband good health.  We must always remember our parents no matter what life has given us, they were always their for us."

"Thank you and I just want you to know this was the most beautiful and touching thing I have ever seen or read. Please keep up the good work."

"Ever so moving. God bless this beautiful message and pray that it touches may hearts."

"I am a nurse and mother of three and also now have three grand daughters. I owned my own business for 21 years caring for seniors that were left behind, alone, ill, or just needed some assistance in order to stay out of nursing homes and to be allowed to die with dignity. Now I am working for a fabulous company locally owned, (HomeInstead Senior Care) which does somewhat the same and I love it."

"We want to send to all involved in this page a huge thank you. As parents of six children, seventeen grandchildren and soon to be born great grandchild, we wish to thank you for helping to tell our family how we will soon be feeling. We are in our sixty's and know our time is running out here on earth. The words and music summarize the thoughts we will wish to convey in the years to come."

"As many of the other feedback letters I have read, I have never seen a message so real and touching. I sent it to my 3 children who sometimes just do not understand how to deal with older parents. We are both in our seventy's and my husband is in poor health.. so this message may make them understand that life is not always fair. But everyone will have to face the uncertainties of old age whatever they may be. It's to bad that there are not more thing's like this on the internet instead of a lot of negative message's that we receive everyday.

"This is a very touchy video! My mother is 89, and still lives at home by herself, although I do most of her shopping. But, she still loves to get out and buy things at times, or just go on trips. She does repeat things at times, but mostly because her hearing is bad, and hearing aids would not help the problem. But, she has a better memory than I do about things of yester year - things that happened in her childhood! I just thank God for every day she's here, and pray she lives a lot longer, and her mind stays alert until God calls her home."

"This was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. The music was so appropriate. I'm 54 and have been disabled since 1999. Many different problems have attacked my body. I feel estranged from my daughters it makes me cry. As I type this I am crying so hard. I'll definitely forward this to my daughters."

"My father just lost his fight with the ugly battle of Alzheimer's in February. It was such a blessing to be by his side until that last breathe. He is finally at peace, so to me, he has won. My tears are for myself alone...for now he has found joy. I believe it is our responsibility to honor our parents as they live. Thank you once again for affirming this belief. It is truly a sign of love when you can let go of someone at that point in life."

"I have never been so moved. Within seconds I was brought to tears. My father passed away at the age of 54 and my mother is now 73. She lives on her own and is doing great for her age.  But your video still touched me and opened by eyes in more than one way. She is my best friend and I can't imagine life without her. Your video gave me a new perspective, and I will try to spend more time with my mom, since we never know what tomorrow will hold."

"I viewed this video at work and my sister just called and asked me what I was doing to which I replied, 'Crying'. My mother is 84 years old and in a nursing home with dementia and my father just came out of the hospital after 43 days. He is at home right now with my sister (who came in from out of town and will be going home soon) and I have been fretting about how I can work and still take care of my dad. The video was so moving. It brought me back to reality and what is important. I can never repay my parents for making me the person I am today. Marie"

"My mother is going to be 80 this fall. It's amazing how many of us are going through this with our elderly parents. It helps to know I am not alone. I see her slowly failing each day and it's hard to watch. I am doing all I can to make her last days enjoyable. She is not living in her home but in an assisted living. She is not the type to complain or tell me if she is happy or not, so I never really know. I beat myself up if I think about it...am I doing the right thing, can I do more! It's my first time taking care of an elderly parent like a new parent taking care of a newborn. I can only do what comes from my heart and hope this is enough."

"Terrific website. The only thing I would change is having it signed Mom and Dad as there are so many out there who do have or don’t see one or the other. Change it to just read: We love you child."

"I thought it was corny and poorly executed. I also think it is written to evoke guilty feelings. Moreover, I wonder why every single bit of feedback that is less than glowing praise must be accompanied by an argument, ie, 'Webmaster’s Reply'. I think you should just post the feedback and let the 'movie' speak for itself."

"I didn't care for the music. I honestly felt it was saying look what I did for you, now do something for me. I believe all children are aware of what their parents have done for them. My own family always are thanking me for all the wonderful years and great life they have had."

"Thank you so much for this beautiful video. My sister and I are now watching out for our mother. Thank you so much for showing me that I need to have more patience, time, and love for her."

"My father was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. He was given 3-6 months for survival; however after continuous prayers and believing in Jesus Christ; he is still alive and with us one year later. In my prayers I asked that Jesus keep him with us for as long as he can and that I would cherish every moment with him and not be angry when asked to do something and understand when he gets upset. I received this email about 15 minutes ago and I still cannot stop crying. Everything was so beautifully put and I want to thank you so much for doing something so special in a world today that ignores feelings.  Barbara"

"I lost my father's father first, then my mother's father, who had Alzheimer's so this video hit home with me. Then I lost my father's mother. Now all that I have left is my grandmother. My parents are the best thing in my life, they have both always been there when I need them, and so I want to do the same for them. They have had their share of health problems and I can't bear the day when I loose one or both of them. I love them both more than they will ever know and I thank God everyday for the wonderful family that he gave me and hope that my husband and I can give our daughter the wonderful life that I have had all of these years. S. Smith, Louisiana"

"Thank you so much for this. I now realize things that we did towards my grandmother to help were not helpful at all. I cried all the way thru just thinking of her and now I know when my parents get to those years what to do and how to help! Thanks so much!!!!"

"My 97 year old Mother moved in with my wife and me last August after living alone in her home for the last 18 years. Now after surviving the first year I was looking for and needed a kick start to put things back into prospective and for me to have a different outlook on the situation; also I needed something to get me on the right track for the remaining years with my Mother. Thank you very much; this has certainly done it for me."

"That was such a touching tribute!"

"Simply beautiful. Thanks so much for putting this together."

"It was awesome and very touching. My wife and I are in our late 60's. I appreciate good e-mail such as yours. Thank you. Vince Provinzano"

"This really touched my heart. I cry every time I watch it."

"This is absolutely beautiful. It brings tears to my eyes. I sent it to my 5 children. Thank you"

"I want to watch this with my daughter and her husband - what a precious message. I lost my mother this past February. I was able to be with her the last four days of her life and care for her just as she had done for me. God bless you for sharing this."

"This is awesome!!!!! I'm dealing with my parents in their 80's and it is so true. I will share this with my friends. Thank you"

"My 83 year old Gramma has Alzheimer's. It has been so difficult caring for a Grandmother with Alzheimer's; BUT, like the film says, we have to remember how Gramma was there for us when WE were babies, toddlers, small children and even teens. It's now our turn to be there for her, even though the road seems more difficult for us today than it was for her so many years ago. SI from Florida/South Carolina"

"As a provider of home health and geriatric care management services, I can't tell you how much your slideshow touched me. I have shared it with all of the staff I work with."

"The best thing I can ever see on my computer. This presentation is next to the best possible."

"I lost my mother two years ago after experiencing everything found in Parent's Wish. It made me cry. Thank you for sharing."

"Parents prepare the way for their children because that is the job of a parent. To expect something in return is not only wrong, but selfish, and in conflict with the concept of good parenting. If my children are impatient, preoccupied, or seemingly insensitive, that is the life they choose for better or worse. We must not expect our children to behave in a certain way, or exhibit a certain quality, because of what we as parents did for them when they were young. I love and care for my elderly mother because my soul bids me to do so; not because she patiently bathed and fed me – or carried a mail bag a million miles – when I was a child. "

"Thank you for letting me have a good cry!"

"This is sappy, overly sentimental - it borders on fantasy. It is Father Knows Best in a slide show. Crap"

"I was touched by your Parents' Wish media presentation. It was sent to me by a friend, as I am currently sharing a period of grace with my father who currently is in comfort care at a local nursing home."

"I am not yet as old as the ones pictured, but at 54, I'm far enough up the mountain to see the top. Daddy died in January of this year after a couple of years of dementia, and this clip helped me to grieve healthily. Thanks for the gift of weeping."

"Maraming salamat po! (thank you very much ). Truly emotional and touching. It stirs my heart. It makes me cry. This must be shared by everybody and most especially to my 4 children who are scattered now all over the world. Thank you so much and more power to you!!! Emford/Philippines"

"Yes. .I must say it was 'Lovely'! However, why was God's name not even mentioned? Might offend someone? Too bad! Pat Lucky! Watertown, Connecticut,"

"I just saw the slideshow presentation and i was deeply moved by it. I was even crying while watching the clip. I am a (Filipina) mother of two kids and they are very young to understand the clip. I hope when the right time comes they will be able to watch it also to remind them of how we nourished them to become who and what they are. My father passed away 3 years ago and it reminded me so much of him. Thank you so much for your time and I hope you'll make more slideshow similar to that."

"I am sometimes saddened as I watch my 85 year old mother try her best to be cheerful and cooperative in her daily routine in an assisted living home near me. She is one of three left of childhood friends, losing one just the other day. I help her fill out sympathy cards to the family and tell her how sorry I am that her friend is gone. She bravely straightens up as best she can and with a tear in her eye says 'It's ok'. That's life and it is going to be me one day. I cannot fathom life without her and try my best to give her what she needs physically and mentally. I only hope she knows how much I love her. Thank you for this beautiful REMINDER to be patient and understanding. D Chandler,Oregon"

"My dad is only 62 years old and has had a hard few years. Watching this was hard for me, but every word of it is true. He's my rock and has taught me so many things that I will take with me in life. I see my mom taking care of him and it reminds me so much of the way that she used to take care of me when I was ill. This actually made me feel a lot better about my dad getting older. SED"

"Thank you, your presentation is an eye opener. Having lost my dad on May 3 2005, I sometimes feel I did not give him enough attention as he lived. But now I am going to give it to my mother. Praise God….MC Zimbabwe"

"This is an amazing slide show. It made tears come in my eyes. I have always been loving and caring towards my parents, though they are still not too old but I can understand how things are changing a little bit with them, and through this slide show I have realized it why and how it will change even more and how the way they have cared and done things for me. I need to remember that."

"My Mom has Alzheimer's and has lived with us for a year. It is hard and sometimes my patience wears thin. This site broke my heart. Thank you. I am sending it on. Sara"

"It is an outstanding video that touched my heart to the core. It was sooooooooo beautiful and brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for such a fabulous contribution to us all."

"The video made me think of my mother in law who passed away last March 2006 after living in an assisted-living facility and made me understand all her frustrations at the times when she could no longer fend for herself. I am now facing the same type of age-related dilemma with our dad. It is a lot of work to care for an elderly parent and this video reminds us of all the sacrifices that our parents made for us and how it is, indeed, our duty to care for them back, and to remember to do it with the dignity that they deserve. It has made me feel better to watch the video and strengthen my resolve in caring for both my parents as they age. Ophelia from California"

"Without a doubt this is the most moving and meaningful e-mail I have ever received. I'm thankful to the person who thought enough of me to send it. I will forward it on. Thank you for this splendid work and blessings to all who put it together. Mostly to the one who choose Josh Groban for the background music, It is perfect. EBC"

"What a wonderful email. We have taken care of all four parents and I wish I had has this email at the beginning of caregiving. Thank you for your effort in making US understand."

"Seeing this short movie brought tears to my eyes for the wonderful love I have experienced from my parents and for the moments I have failed to appreciate them. The best lesson I have learned is that I will be in their place one day and now I am preparing myself for that. I will give this film to our loving daughter as a gift so that she will learn not only to be a much better child, but also a very much better parent in future. Thanks for those who used their creativity to produce this film which undoubtedly touches many hearts. Shirantha Perera – Sri Lanka "

"Thank you for your support of Parents' Wish! So hearty feeling after having a listen, reading your post. Try not tear in office, indeed. Thank you so much for waking my feelings of parents!!! Just share my thoughts with thanks to you."

"The song and the slideshow are awe inspiring. Wish I had seen it sooner.. maybe before my dad became so ill. I miss him still after 3 years. I miss Mum, too after 18 years. Thank you for saying what we all need to hear."

"I wanted to thank you for this beautiful page, I am dealing with aging parents right now and my father tried to commit suicide twice now due to health issues. I cried all the way through this page and felt a deep sense of understanding from the author of the words he or she wrote."

June 19, 2006

"This is so touching i am sending out to everyone i know. Thank you so much for making it available."

"Outstanding, just simply outstanding.."

"This is absolutely beautiful and couldn’t have come at a better time for my family. Thank you for keeping this important slideshow alive!"

"This is truly amazing. I have never cried so much. Thank you for making it available."

"I just wanted to say I found this very moving. As a Hospice nurse I know and feel these words daily. Many are lucky to have families that honor these wishes and many have no one. I have held many hands when there was no one else there and I so understand the words of not wanting to shower, not wanting to eat and not being forced as well as wanting to die. We all just reach a point when we tire out. I wish I could share this with all the families I serve. Thank you. I lost my own mom recently and this moved me to tears but I know I was there for her just like she wanted."

"Thought it was very thought provoking but got the hint of euthanasia at the end which was not appropriate to the rest of the piece."

"When I played it I cried like a baby. I lost my mom when I was 28 and she was only 64 and now seeing my once-strong dad becoming so frail and forgetful is heart-breaking. But seeing this made me realize that just being there for my dad is all that matters and one day I will see both my mom and dad again in a better place. I just wish I could print it out so that I could read it and share it with people who do not have computer access. Thanks again for the tribute to aging parents everywhere."

"A beautiful tribute and the words mean so much!! I pray many others see this and realize what a blessing their parents really are."

"The most moving video since I started using the computer."

"I was very touched by your slide. I am THERE with my relationship with my mother. My father passed away 13 years ago. I have two children, raised pretty much on my own."

"I viewed the slideshow. Very powerful. I am only 26. My mom died 2 years ago."

"Absolutely touching and so true. I cried!"

"I saw my parents and my in-laws in your words! Those words, combined with the song will live with me forever! Thank you."

"Excellent slideshow. Everyone should watch it. Thank you for a wonderful and emotional production."

"This was so touching for me as I've just lost both of my parents recently and it was as if they were talking to me from beyond. Thank you."

"This is very beautifully presented. I would like to know the name of the tenor singing this old song?"
[Webmaster's note: His name is Josh Groban and you can buy his record by clicking on the link to his website above.]

"Only after listening to this the fifth time did my eyes dry enough for me to see well enough to write you a great big GOD BLESS YOU. This is the most heart warming E-mail I have ever received. Thanks for sharing it with the internet."

"My son and I watched this video together...we cried. Thank you for doing this most touching video.. it will help everyone who sees it."

"I own a homecare business along with residential care homes. Your Parents' Wish is WONDERFUL and I would like to share it when we have seminars wherein we have a booth.  It says so much that is of such value...and Josh Grogan is absolutely the best with the song he sings."

"It really made me emotional...very very awesome..."

"My brother sent this with a note saying: 'You cannot watch this without crying'. He knows me well. I had to pause it just to read and hear without tears. We have just currently found a new home for our mother in a skilled nursing facility, and this site has helped me to know how to treat and respect her so much better...and to remember all of this that she was/is to me."

"I am now primary care giver for my 80 year old father. He moved in with me about 6 months ago and your slide show means more to me than you know. And it is a good reminder for me to have more patience, love and understanding with my father. I am thankful to have him here. Thanks for putting this out there."

"This hit so close to me at this time as I am caring for my 91 yr old father and lost my mother 5 years ago. Bless you for putting this together."

"Unbelievably beautiful and so true. Thank you. Sandra Jung"

"I am a registered nurse who works with the elderly in home health care. This lovely presentation would be an asset during some of my health clinic seminars."

"This was awesome!!! A tear-jerker and an eye opener. Thanks."

"How gratifying and loving. I a married to a man 25 years older than me, hence, he is aging at age 76. I felt the words dance off of the screen and into my heart as I continue to help him convalesce from back surgery and live our days together lovingly."

"As an active 'senior' I know that the time will be here before I know it that the message from your video will apply to me. As tears flowed from my eyes, I managed to forward this beautiful enlightening message to my children. I only wish every child could have access to this video. Thank you."

"Today is my son's 25th birthday. It is awesome how God takes care of our needs in ways we don't expect. I will not be with my son today, but as I read and listened to this amazing gift from God I was blessed. I cried as I watched and celebrated my son's birthday with memories just like the words and slide show was playing. I watched our son become the man who was there for his Dad. I know he will be there for me. cjfirst Oklahoma"

"Truly, this is a work blessed and authorized by God's Holy Spirit. I am now and for most of my life have been 'at odds' with my mother and her with me. The only thing that we can seem to agree on is that staying out of communication is the only way to get along; we have not spoken for several years. This project has helped 'chip' some of the ice away from my perspective, and hopefully, it will help bring me and my children closer together. Of course, I sent this to them in hopes that they would gain further insight to what I have done for them during their lives. I am a Christian musician who would like to especially thank Josh for his continued commitment to God thru music."

"From the first words, my eyes started to well with tears. My Dad passed away three years ago, August 22. With yesterday being father's day, another difficult milestone to overcome. Thoug I am not a parent I can understand the the feelings and realize what my parents did and wanted for me to become. Thank you to the special soul who created this...it moved my heart, my soul."

"Parent's Wish is such a great movie, that I email it to all my friends. Thanks so much for it."

"It brought tears to my eyes as I read the poem while listening to the song! It took me back into the past and I had thoughts of my kids, my parent, my grandparent and even great grandparents. I thought of many friends that have gone on and many friends that I wanted to share this with. You are to be applauded for such a powerful and touching poem video. Sharon from Independence, Missouri (USA)"

"Inspiring, enlightening, touching, amazing, eye opening. What a beautiful, beautiful piece. Everyone should hear and see this, and then be touched by it. We'd all be better people for it. "

"I lost my Daddy years ago and I’ve long since dealt with that loss. However, I lost my wonderful husband (age 73) this past December. He was 22 years older than me and I always knew that I would probably face this day but that didn’t make the loss any less. I miss him everyday, I see him in everything around me and I do love him so. This video does deal with a lot of issues that we all must face, I see Bill in much of it and I can hear his message to myself and our children."

"I too cried during this presentation of  Parents' Wish. I am sending it to my friends and also to our only daughter. Thank you for allowing me to view your work. CHW"

"My dad has passed on and is very missed. My mom is 89 and starting to lose some of the strength that we all have relied on for love and guidance. This beautiful piece has touched a place in my heart that has been aware of time's passing for quite a while. Thank you to all involved in creating such a wonderful way to remind us of what our elderly are experiencing."

"Thank you so much for this touching piece! I cried."

"Thank you for opening not only my eyes, but the thousands who will view this in the near future."

"WOW! You were reading our minds- ages 70 and 72. We have forwarded it to all six of our children and their families. The pictures were so wonderful. Any thought of putting it into book form? I know it’s the time of great technology, but it would be a great reminder for families to have it on the coffee table when the families gather. Thanks so much for this exquisite, heart-warming, yet 'our thoughts exactly' presentation."

"Your beautiful production touched me deeply. It reminded me that, no matter how devoted we think we are and how 'good' we perceive ourselves to be, temporary impatience, judgment and fear are the foundation of all intolerance. Your production truly captures the beauty, wisdom and spirituality of old age. It teaches us to see our human life as God does: with infinite patience, love and gratitude. You have given us an insight that we sometimes forget or deny, from our vantage point. Soon enough, we will be our parents. Time passes, and old age and death are inevitable. Only respect, kindness, tolerance and understanding are timeless."

"Parents' Wish was very touching. I received it on Father's day right after we had my father-in-law for lunch. He is 91 years old and getting very frail in mind and body. It kinda put things in perspective for me. Thank You."

"There have been times when I had to say good bye to loved ones and let them know it was OK to go. They are always in my heart and the memories are forever. I have tried to pass this on to others when they were having a hard time letting go.  Go with God and go in peace with love."

"My Mother-in-law passed away in 2004 form Alzheimer's. The words written with the pictures are so very true. We have to spend as much time as possible with those we love because we never know when time will end. Very moving and profound. Would like to see it used with teaching patience and understanding of the older population. Younger people do not realize what life is all about. Today we seem to be worried about just me. Take time to smell the roses and spend as much time as possible with those you love. Thanks Sue"

"Thank you for a very realistic, touching video."

"This was a reminder to me of how our parents had such an impact on our lives. I thank God for the time they shared, cared and what they invested in me. Now the roles have changed and we take care of our mother today who is now 88 years old. She is feeble but still displays some of the same characteristics she had when she was up and on her feet. I guess you could say that she still let us know that she is still in charge! May God bless you for giving us this reminder to cherish and take care of our parents. Thank you Carla.

"When I received this from a friend and viewed it all I could was to cry for hours. I lost my Mother and Special Friend last year and it was a sudden loss so I have been having a hard time coping with her loss. This reminded me of some of the things that Mum would do and I could hear her as I was reading it. The person who came up with this did me a special favor by reminding me of the every day things about my Mum. Thank you so much. Alicia"

"My sister, brothers and I are in the process of taking care of our 81 year old father and 76 year old mother. It is very hard to see them becoming frail and so dependent after all the years of their strength and steadfastness for us. Thank you, thank you for this wonderful piece. It helps make things easier to understand and be more patient. I am sending this to all my friends and family because we are all becoming the caretakers and this is so helpful!! GOD Bless!! M. Carter, Georgia"

"Loved the slideshow, was very touching and speaks well for the older generation."

"I had determined that I wasn't going to get depressed and come to the acceptance that my deceased parents are in a better place. My father transition from life fighting heart disease and my mother of lymphoma. Those last years as their caregiver was difficult and I look back on the good things. Your video brought such tears of love and reminds me of all that times of being there for them to do as they had done for me. We do this so someone will be there for us when it becomes our time. Pass It On! Their loving Son ....Edward in Atlanta Georgia"

"I loved your slideshow. I cry everytime I watch it. I have lost both my parent's but I would love to have a copy for my own children."

"I have work in a Skilled Nursing Facility for the past 21 years. This was one of the neatest things I’ve ever seen in regards to the aging process. It really helps to give an understanding to people that as we age, we too need more assistance just like children do when they are young. I really would like to have a copy of this to share with my staff."

"Thank you for that. it was incredibly moving and so very true...I am 33 years old and my parents are still young, however, I can understand the meaning of the video, as I have children as well. I hope to be as strong as the words of what I just watched, and I hope to teach my children as well as my parents did, to feel the same way that I do about reaching that moment in our lives."

"This is so moving. Each time I watch it, it brings tears to my eyes."

"Thanks a million for the loving REMINDER - and how a great many of us take our parents' love for granted! No doubt this video was put together from the bottom of your heart and most heartwarming for the viewers. Definitely this will make a world of difference to our world as our unconditional love for each of our aging parents ripples out and turns it into a world of heartfelt love which our Heavenly Father has meant it to be! Dorothy"

"It's truly an eye opener, it made me realize that my time with my parents isn't gonna be forever, and that I should spend more time and do something with them that will make them happy and make them realize and say 'I have a great son and my only regret when I die is that I can no longer be with him...'"

"Thank you so much for posting this beautiful video! I'm not a sentimental person but this brought tears to my eyes. I've lost my mother and grandmother and up to this day I can't forgive myself for not giving them enough love and attention. If only I knew then what I know now. Maybe this video will help people to truly appreciate their loved ones as life is way too short. Thank you so much! Kat"

"It is unfortunate that I had not received this message 8 years ago before my parents passed away. My impatience was not awe inspiring and is something that has caused me more than a few painful moments and regrets. Thank You for this most powerful message. Darryl"

June 18, 2006

"Hi I received this in my email from my little brother the day before my son's 22nd birthday. My son was killed in an accident. I also lost my 63 yr old mother to cancer. I was not sure who it was meant for so I took it as both. I added it to my son's web site on his birthday page."

"This is a beautiful movie!! What a treasure. Thank you for putting all this time and effort into something so many people enjoy."

"I just want to say that this is one of the greatest emails I have ever received in the last six years that I have had my computer. I will cherish this forever and Josh Groban is one of my favorite singers. Thank you so much. Giovanna"

"That was a real tear jerker. Hope my married kids could read this. I cried all through it. Thanks! Someone really shared their hearts and I couldn't have written it better!! We are only 56 and 62 but we see it coming."

"This is very touching. I took care of my mom before she was taken from me. I only wish I had done more for her. However I do not think we should take matters in our hands as for as when we should leave this old world. We should wait on the Lord to decide that. Jean, SC"

"With this letter to families all over the world, our three generations of family is tied together with that same message of love and respect to all. This is a testament to the meaning of all families and brought tears of hope, love, and respect for my parents, grandparents, and great grandparents that I am fortunate to be around and look forward to caring for them even more as they cared for all their young ones".

"That was a beautiful slide show. Very touching. A good friend sent it to me and I watched it, and I plan on sending It to my 2 children. We lost a precious son in December 05 from pancreative cancer."

"I take care of the elderly and this just broke my heart. I see this in my people everyday. Thank you for the showing of something as wonderful as this. God bless. Treasa in Iowa"

"As a widower, I regret you chose to end the beautiful message with Mom and Dad."

"I am at an age where I can see this happening to me. I remember it happening to my parents. Thank you. It could not have come to me at a better time... Father's Day. Jean"

"Beautiful words. Every nursing home worker and caregiver should watch it. My Daddy spent about four years in the nursing home and on this Father's Day your Parents' Wish brought back so many memories. It is so sweet to remember him. He went home to be with the Lord in 1999 at 87. My Mother is 92 and she is traveling that same road. Oh if we could memorize the words to Parents' Wish so we could help them to smile more and enjoy the days they have left. God has Blessed me with lots of years with my parents and I thank you for helping me to see just how Special they really are. E. Seay"

"My husband's mom had Alzheimer's and lived with us for 2 years before being put in a special needs home. Looking after her was the most trying time of my life. All these things hit my heart - even though she was my mother-in-law. The 3 other siblings visited only once - not enough to see the deterioration that rapidly took place in a short 10 months after being placed in special care. It came as a shock. They had no frame of reference - but as for me -I very quickly became aware of my own limits and patience. I grew as an individual - and now can easily relate to anyone in this situation. My heartfelt thanks to all who were involved in the making. My tears were many."

"This is an incredibly touching and a message needed to be spread widely. Thanks for producing it. A French"

"A wonderful video. I've just lost my 76 years old dad, and this helped me express my grief and my thoughts. Keep up the good work...Montreal, Canada"

"Wow! This is so beautiful and so real. It truly brought tears to my eyes as I am presently, with the help of my wonderful husband, taking care of my parents that have both been diagnosed with dementia. The reality of it is that we (the children) must truly understand and remember all that they (our parents) have done for us and be willing to give back to them without reservation for as long as we possibly can."

"I have been so very touched by this wonderful PARENT'S WISH which I have received today, coincidentally on Father's day. It especially made me think of my mom who is alive and I truly do sometimes loose patience. I will now not cut her so short and be more caring as the email says, they did try their best for their children. It applies to everyone. And also reminds us they deserve to have the patience they gave us when we were small. I appreciate so much receiving this. Oh my goodness, it really hits home. cgs"

"I couldn’t keep from having a tear come to my eyes as I watched this. Thank you for the chance to view this. How true this film really is about our parents. Sometime we as children don’t stop and take the time to really appreciate the thing our parents really do for us as we grow up. Once again thank you for this short film."

"So very beautiful. My mother has Alzheimer's and is living with the two of us. We have tried so many things to get her in the shower. Now I understand. I did not want to shower when I was a child either. Thank you. You will be blessed as this goes around the world. Carol Stavlo, McKInney Texas"

"I will pray God will give a special blessing to all the minds, hearts and souls who created this masterpiece. I was a little ashamed for my tears while viewing & listening until I read most of the 'feed backs'. May God bless you all. Lyrad Sivad"

"This is an amazing movie. I really enjoyed it it makes me cry. I love my parents so very much and I miss my Dad everyday. Whoever did this they are very kind and wonderful people. Thank you Katherine MacArthur from California"

"Thank you so much for such a beautiful tribute to children of ALL AGES concerning their parents.! I am crying as I write this, it is that moving. I still have my Dad with me and I will make sure he has all the dignity and care when he is unable to do for himself. I love him and owe him that much! I have also sent this to many of my friends. But most importantly, my sons. I have this kept in my favorites. I hope I have it forever! God Bless You, Terry =)"

"I have to wonder. Whose wish really? Every thought expressed was so incredibly appropriate, and heartwarming EXCEPT the ones promoting euthanasia. My parents did all the things mentioned and apparently so much more. They taught me that life is precious and that only God determines our days on earth. My prayer is that I will have the same patience and tolerance, respect for life and reverence to God that my parents taught me as a child and that I will be blessed to be given the opportunity to repay them for the care they gave me when I could not care for myself."

"That was very moving and so true. We all must face our mortality and as parents we will one last time lead the way. The presentation expresses what has been and will be for all of us in a perfect world. Mine is close to perfect and I feel blessed that it is so. I will send this to my daughter when the time is right. Sadly, my son has already gone ahead, and I look forward with joy and faith to the time I will see him again in Heaven."

"Thank you ever so much, it is so true and beautiful. I would say it has brought 'A Tear to many eyes'. I have sent this to all of my children."

"The most awesome slide show I have ever seen!! My husband and I have lost both of our mothers in the last 6 years, both in their 80's. This is the most beautiful tribute to parents that will be shared with everyone I know. Thanks to all involved in the making of this slide show.. L.C."

"How wonderful, how absolutely wonderful and how very understanding."

"How I wish I had my parents back!! I can remember getting a bit impatient with their slow ways, their repetition of stories and their indecision. I know they're watching me from heaven so I tell them everyday how much I love them and how sorry I am that I didn't take more time with them. After all, what was the hurry!!! I'm sending this to my son and hope he will understand."

"Just a message to say Thank You for what is a truly heart warming slide show. well done to all those involved. I think it really lets us know how important our parents are to us all."

"I just wanted to say thank you for that. It was truly amazing and beautiful. The song fit perfectly!!! I was in tears from the beginning. I thought of not just my parents, but more of my grandparents. It is truly amazing and wonderful! Thank you! Jerianne Bateman, North Vernon, Indiana, USA"

"Thank you so much for such a beautiful and heart felt piece. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am sending it to my two children who are very much in denial that my husband and I are reaching our later years. I truly hope it speaks to them the way it did to me. May God Bless you in all that you do. Pat Patterson"

"Oh my God!!!! That was so incredibly moving. It touched me in more ways than you will ever know. Thank you for this inspiring and heart felt show of affection in this cold world. THANKYOU.!!!!!!!!"

"I just wanted to THANK YOU for making this available on line. A friend sent it to me and it sure says it all! I am a senior and still remember my parents with such love and admiration. I wish there had been something like this around at the time of their passing. Family and sentiments like you offer, are really ALL that is important in life in the final scheme of things. Good luck to you and your endeavours".

"My mother died in July 2004 at 99 yrs and 10 mos. She lived with me 17 years and it was a blessing to me, and I hope that I was to her. Do not treat your parents like they are children; that is very degrading. Be kind, for your children are watching how you treat your parents. What are they learning from YOU? Whatever they learn is how you will be treated in your old age. Long time caregiver."

"Absolutely beautiful - I will be saving this and replaying it when I need a reminder. It's incredibly hard to accept the role changes that come with your parents aging and this couldn't be a better way to gently remind you of who your parent once was to you and what they need from you now. Thank you, Tracy - B.C., Canada"

"If there were a way for every one to see this tribute to parents and grandparents, adoptive and foster, it should be done. Not every one has a computer nor access to one. This is a very beautiful tribute and I am a mom that needs help and gets it from a daughter that is physically challenged and she also works full time. I can not thank you enough for sharing this with all of us that are lucky enough to see this. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Sincerely, Diana D"

My Mother had a stroke March of 2005, She no longer can walk, her speech is slurred and she no longer can control her bladder. She is still at home with the help of her family thank God. This slide show makes me be thankful for her care as I was growing up."

"It was very heartwarming and emotional. Made me think more about my aging parents. I cried everytime I watched the video. I just hope my children feel the same about it as I did and brings us closer."

"Absolutely wonderful especially read this on Father's Day. Having my 89 year old father, who has had a stoke, is living with us. Amazing how I can watch my three grand babies under 3 years of age and tell their mommies to be patient with them. Thank you."

"I am a home hospice nurse, and I regularly work with older parents being cared for with love and dignity by their children. This video brought me to tears, because it described so perfectly what aging, dying people are feeling. When I am able to get a CD of this, I will be showing it to my fellow hospice nurses and to the families of my patients. Thank you for putting this together, and for helping all of us be aware of the needs of the older people around us. Suzanne Land"

"This a beautiful testimony to parents. I would find it even more appealing if the film itself was minus the volume info on the left side of the screen. Keep up the good work."

"I am sharing with you my letter to my 3 sons: Thank you for the Father gift you all gave me today (a lawn mower) and when the time comes that I can not use this gift, not because I do not want to but because I can't. One wish is that I hope one of you will guide your gift to what it's meant for. I LOVE YOU ... DAD"

"That was not only true but so beautiful!!!!!!!!!! Thank you."

"At this time my sister and I need to be patient with my Dad. This is truly a reminder of how we should want to enjoy the golden years of our lives surrounded by the patience and love of family. Thank you for this awesome movie. It brings back wonderful memories and feelings that often get put aside. Love is a wonderful thing and expressed perfectly in Parents' Wish. Dee"

"I am still crying from watching your video. It is awesome."

"Thank you for reminding me - as we grow we forget. Every day i take 5 minutes to call my mum and tell her I love her. She made me who I am - I hope I always remember to give her the support she needs when the time comes that she does. L . London"

"My greatest regret was loosing close contact with my kids after my divorce. My relationship with my son and daughter has suffered and although we stay in contact often, it will take me a lifetime I think to get my kids, especially my son to understand the divorce and re-establish a truly meaningful relationship.  So, as I say....you only go around the planet one time, and I plan on making the best of it. Joel Hendelman"

"Beautiful.. had me sobbing hysterically. My Mom is going through late stage Parkinson's and every one of those issues/concerns is amplified 1,000 times but also is 1,000 times harder to stay loving when they need it most. I'm a big tough guy who doesn't cry very much... so I'm even more affected by the effect and power of the ode."

"My younger sister forwarded this on to me and as we lost our Dad six months ago it bought back so many memories for us as the words described him so well. I have forwarded it on to my four boys and their families in the hope it will touch them as it has done me. I often sit and let the tears flow and remember !!  Lynne Swift, New Zealand"

"I love the video! My kids are only young and couldn't appreciate that yet, but I would love to have that on video and maybe get a few copies for various educators who would love something like that as a gift."

"This made me quite sad but I loved it all nevertheless. The words are so true, I believe and I just love that song by Josh Groban. Thanks!"

"This is the best thing that has ever come across my e mail. I cried and I cried. I have lost both my parents and now my husbands mom's just said the other day: she wish God would take her, as she hurts so much. We both cried when viewing this. But it helps us to understand more. Thank You so very much for sharing this with so many."

"I'm sickened by the feedback from the person who said this was the worst video and all it expresses is guilt. This negative response supposedly was written by a parent! Well maybe they were selfish as a parent and raised their children that way. That's the only reason I can come up with as far as this ignorant person stating that this is just a ‘guilt trip’! I hope that in their hour of need that maybe their children can forget what a selfish person their parent was raising them and open their heart and be there for them! If not then I say the person who wrote this negative response to the video deserves whatever life deals them!"

"I manage a retirement village in Christchurch, New Zealand. I wish I could show your email on a very large screen to all our relatives and caregivers!! I would like to see it in poster or book form. I loved it. Thank you."

"My Mom passed not too long ago and the beauty of this, can hardly express myself, tears in my eyes and  unable to speak. She died in a nursing home and could barely do anything for herself.  I helped her eat, groom herself, dress etc. I could never give back all she gave me but, I did a little and I want to honor her for the Godly woman she was and continue to give of myself to others as she did all her life. Bonnie"

"This beautiful video is so very true. I don't know how many more years I will have with my MOM so I want to spend every moment I can with her. She is my rock and I love her so very much. I don't hesitate to call her 3-4 times a week. My younger sister has a lot on her shoulders with MOM but she doesn't mind at all. Like the video said. MOM took care of us when we were young... now it's time for us to take care of MOM. Jackie Bowman, Wichita, KS"

"Frankly, I have seen so much death, pain and suffering, that my parents deaths, 2 months apart was a gift. I have too much to say. This message brought no tears to my eyes, no satisfaction, but still I grieve for those lost souls that hade nobody

"I just wanted to let you know that we are going through this right now with my mother-in-law. She is 91 and her memory is going, she has to have help dressing and so on. We know how true this is. Thank-you for such a beautiful song with the pictures. It is so true and hits close to home."

"My parents are in their late 80's and still living in the house that has been their home for 60 years. Their health has been fading fast the past few months. I know that trying to keep them in their home is the right thing to do. It's hard since I live 45 miles away. Many trips and lots of hard work when I get there. It really helped to hear the words in the music and slide show. I don't hear them from my parents, but I see them in their eyes when I get there. Thank you for putting this together."

June 17, 2006

"A long time friend sent your video and I immediately followed it to our three sons. My husband is nearly 88 and me 83. I was deeply touched and want to let you know how this video is dearly appreciated. Many many thanks."

"I wish I could save this in a CD so that my children can view this even when I'm gone. I'm only 32 but I am sick that I don't think I'll ever see my children grow. I have two kids. It's too early for me to tell them about the parents wish. This message for me is not just about dying but implying the cycle of life. Everything featured here is true. Good work."

"Let me tell you this was one of the most wonderful things I have seen and heard on the Internet in almost 5 years of my being on it. It touched me so because I have a mother that will be turning 94 on July 29th, and watching the movie and reading the script it was so much of who my mother is today. She raised 11 children and did such a wonderful job, and now she is in the twilight of her life and we are having to care for her, and understand her. This piece helped me do that more than you could understand. It touched my heart and my soul. June Maule"

"Absolutely amazing in its truth and sincerity. Sadness was covered over by beauty and love... what a wonderful tribute to parents everywhere, Thanks, Mrs. J. Donaldson, ptL"

"This was totally AWESOME!!! Whom ever put this together was really blessed by God. Thanks, Jerry Stoute"

"Your presentation surely is poignant and touching."

"Thank you for sharing your beautiful and touching Parent's Wish. It brought tears to my eyes."

"From the moments it started, I cried and thought of my own parents. The words are so true and I'm so glad that I took care of my own parents. If only everybody could view these pictures and words this world would be a better place because we'll all be there someday ourselves. Thank you for sharing those precious thoughts."

"I cried all thru the movie. I loved it."

"This is such an overwhelming song and the way you slide the notes in is super. I think from reading your message that you are a super-analyst! Thank you so much."

"Wow! This video is so overwhelming, I have passed this onto my older kids, cause my older kids are very selfish and self centered with no appreciation of me what so ever. I love my older kids dearly but they think they know it all. I hope this video will inspire them to realize they wouldn't be anything with-out us parents. Thank you so much! This video is A+++++ From a Fathers Heart who needed a pick me up and the video did just that... Edward HIll Jr (UpState NY) "

"I lost my mother to cancer only 4 weeks ago and a very good friend just sent me this. I admit it made me cry but i feel so much better for it. Thank you."

"Awesome Awesome. This came to me on a day I was feeling kinda alone. It reminded me that I am not alone. Tears of sadness and join as I listened and read along. I will save it for as long as I am here and when I get a moment of loneliness I will listen to it again and again. TY "

"Thank you for such a true to life slide show. At this time my mom is 90 and is just waiting to go and when she tells me I can't help but hoping for her wishes. She wants to go home and be with my dad and brother and her family. I know when the day does come, I will miss her terribly but I intend to keep this on my computer so that I may listen to it time and again. Judith LaHaye"

"My Mother is 78 and at times I find myself impatient with her forgetfulness, or having to explain things to her over and over. This reminded me of the patience and love she had for me and my 3 sisters when we were children growing into adulthood. She relies on us now and I am grateful that I am able to be there for her. After having viewed the movie, I have a new respect and appreciation for her."

"I work in Oakland CA at Salem Lutheran Home and my day was going so unblessed and negative until my D.O.N bought this to my attention and just this moment with my co worker.  I realized how I make a difference in the lives in our residents. I can truly say I love what I do and what I am."

"This was both touching and emotional, since I am now in the beginning stages of all this with my Mom. I tell her almost every day let me help you the way you helped me and be glad you have family and people who love you and want to help. The only issue I have with this e-mail is I would love to send it to my daughter but I cannot. Her Dad disappeared when she was eleven and we do not know if he is alive or gone. It made me cry but it was a good cry since I related to every frame and every word. Sandi"

"I am so impressed by this beautiful video. I've sent it to my family members and friends. Patty R"

"It's interesting. But it takes for granted that your parents did do all those things mentioned. And mine, er, didn't. Doesn't mean I don't love them or I wouldn't help them –of course I would. But it kind of sentimentalizes parenthood a little, and I for one saw my childhood as a time of fear and pain. So if I were to treat my parents the same way they treated me during childhood, I don't think the makers of the video would really advocate that!"

"I have mixed emotions. Are we telling our kids that they owe us because we raised them? I think that in this society today, we have forgotten the meaning of family. We've moved all over the country, away from each other, gotten on with our lives and really don't care about the responsibilities we have as the member of a loving, family group. Or is it that we don't have loving, family groups anymore? Have we raised such independent children that they don't feel the need to care about their 'responsibilities'?"

"This was incredibly beautiful and moving. ~~ cried throughout the whole piece ~~ sent it to my whole family and friends ~~Are there any other pieces available?"

"This is one of my favorites. I'd love this for any day of the year, for a funeral, wedding, or Spiritual B-day any Sunday would be WONDERFUL!! Thank you, Vicky V. N. FONTENOT"

"This is beautiful. My mother sent it to me, and it brought tears to my eyes. I have since sent it on to all of my kids. Thank you for making such a beautiful page. Cindy Wells"

"Beautiful and touching. I lost my husband 2 years ago (he was the love of my life). I sent it to my son even though it said 'Mom and Dad'. In our hearts, we feel he is still with us. So far I've watched it about 10 times. THANK YOU!"

"What an inspiring piece. My mother is 89 and in a rest home and you have hit on every single thing that we have gone through in the last 3 years. They have earned the right to eat what they please and be remembered for all the things they did for us growing up. Thanks for the reminder."

"Frankly, this 'side show' is without doubt another morbid commentary on our culture. Where exactly can we perceive loving parents who simply want love, affection and care in return? Instead, it can only be perceived as tyrannical monarchs seeking self-righteous demands due them. What is conveyed in this show is unfortunately aberrant behavior by parents."

"I felt the song and photos were lovely, and I appreciate all the effort, but the message was lost on me. After reading some feedback, I had to ask myself why that was. Well, I guess I feel NO guilt. I've always been a part of my Mom's life. I love her immensely and always will.. and SHE was ALWAYS a part of her Mom's life. We've never had to be brow-beaten into loving each other. I will say this: If there are people out there that are lacking conscience, compassion, and have somehow become desensitized to the feelings and needs of ALL our fellow humans and furry creatures, then this video might have a chance to wake them up. Fortunately, I'm very much awake and so is my Mom and so was my Grandmother."

"Wow....the tears are still flowing.......words we all wish we could express to our children......thank you. Diana"

"I just viewed the Parents' Wish and was most deeply touched. I lost my father less than two weeks ago at the age of 81. So much of the poem hit home, not wanting to bathe or eat, it took too much energy. For my Dad just breathing was a chore. He asked several time why he could not just die but God had a different plan. I take great comfort in knowing that he is now at peace. The song 'You Raise Me Up" is a favorite, as is Josh Groban, and would always bring a tear to my eye. I will never hear that song again without thinking of the poem and my father - and I will cry! God definitely has touched everyone involved in creating this most poignant video. God bless you all!! LE."

"I have been on the path to care for my mom for almost 10 years and even more now than before. I am a Personal Care Attendant for my mother and that means that I go to her home and take care of her. I have taken care of other people too but taking care of my own mother has made life more meaningful to me. I whole heartedly hope that I am setting an example for my 2 children to see that life does come full circle. We may not know when or where but it does. I hope and pray that someday no matter what happens between my son and daughter and myself that my example since they have been born will show them the way."

"I was deeply moved not just to tears but sobs, knowing that my own mother who is 88 and in great shape (still driving, etc.), will someday, hopefully not to soon, will be in the category of 'elderly' and needing more and more help. I pray I have the strength to endure without to many tears. Lynanne"

"My father is deceased and my mother is 81 years old. I spent yesterday crying and fretting about her because she is not taking care of herself the way I think she should. Today I got this e-mail and I am not even sure who it was from. I cried the entire time it played and will now go and give my mother a great big hug and kiss and help her however I can until she is no longer with us. Thank you to whoever started this."

"The presentation touched my heart both as a daughter and a mother. I sent the site to 20 people that I knew would learn and appreciate it as much as I did. My mom is 99 and in a health care facility. I volunteer there seven days a week, 11:00-1:00 and am given more than I receive. I understand now what the elderly go through."

"I thought this was AWESOME. The music went perfect with the movie. It made me cry. But I hope my children remember, when I get old. And I hope to have the patience of a saint if my mom ever gets to where she needs me in that way. Teresa Kessinger, Bradenton FL"

"This is absolutely beautiful and so meaningful. Thank you for your commitment to meaning in life and families."

"Immensely powerful. I have seen it 5 times now, and still tear up every time. I have sent this to everyone i know, whether they have children or not. And, mot only is the message powerful, but the Josh Groban music really drives the feelings home. Thank you. Steve Rayman"

"After hearing this it brought back many memories and tears to my eyes because of so many children that forgot their parents in nursing homes and even to call to say hello how are you doing. They forget all the things we did for them out of love. Every time they fell we were there to pick them up. They reach the top and forget where they came from. Thank you for this. Robert."

"I would first like to congratulate you on the outstanding vision you had in providing this slide show to the world!"

"What a wonderful and powerful message your presentation puts forth. My husband and I are lucky to have two children who understand this already. There are millions more who need to be reminded and to understand. Thank you so much for your hard work. Della Cook"

"Thank you for showing me a different perspective that I had never thought about before. Shame on me for not recognizing it on my own. Grace to you for helping me. Julie, Windsor, Colorado"

"I am caring for my husband who suffers from dementia. It is just the two of us, we have no one else with us or coming into the home on a regular basis. I cannot tell you how much this has touched me, I will keep it on the computer and listen to it daily if need be to help me get through tough times and to help me not feel sorry for myself. This certainly is not just for parents to children, it touches so many other aspects of life. THANK YOU."

"This was sent to me tonight and I so wish my Dad was alive to share it with him on Father's Day. Somehow I feel he knows and that we did share it together tonight."

"A retired KY State Trooper in his late seventies sent this to me having received it from his son. This is so precious and I'm passing this salt, truth, and light on to others. My dear Mother in Law who we called Memo stepped into eternity in her eighties several years ago used to say, 'Once a man, twice a child.'"

"I sit here in tears as I have just heard/read this very touching piece. Words alone cannot describe the emotions that this brought to my heart, as my dear mother suffers with a condition known as hypertension dementia, a condition whereby we see her lucid from minute to minute, and then, not lucid for several minutes. The words expressed in this wonderful passage, accompanied by the wonderful Josh Groban's 'You Raise Me Up', could not be more appropriate for both those that are suffering, and those that are tending to their parents. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for creating such an inspiring, soul-touching moment, one that I shall play over and over again, and share with many of my closest friends. Paula Reid"
